The first time that I fell in love with baskets I was 9 years old. I am Hungarian and I have been to lots of markets where beautiful woven baskets are everywhere.
Before I started the Creative Basketry course I completed some short courses.
Whilst doing the courses more and more things became clear.
To me, natural materials and three- dimensional item’s form and structure are usually of primary importance. Surface pattern and colour come later when consideration has been given to the structure.
I am also interested in organic forms and shapes. and how ideas of three dimensionality and physical and psychological spaces relate to this.
